About the Photographer

I could tell you stories of far off African villages, crystal blue waters, near death experiences with an elephant, fairy tale endings, true love for 75 years, best friends, helicopters, bungee jumps, white water, marathons, great whites, ice-climbs, crocodiles, lions and tigers and bears, oh my! …And you wouldn't believe that I was a witness -or a participant- in each and every story.

What you might understand is why I started my own advertising business at 20 years old. You would understand why I work so hard to do the very best for my friends, family and clients; and how that allows me to play so hard and love so much. You might also understand why that passion sometimes –ok, more often than not – makes me the BlackSheep of almost any group. You would understand that my marketing background, and subsequently, my photographic eye, comes not only from my many educational and work experiences, but from real substantial life experiences. I am involved in photography because after 11 years in the advertising business, this is the best outlet for my creativity! It is the perfect mixture of work and play, and it’s where I get to be who I really am – the color outside the lines, the not play by the rules, the I’ll do anything for the shot kind of girl - the official BlackSheep.

I’m not a school educated photographer, in fact I’ve never taken a class and I don’t know how to edit photos in Photoshop; I simply enjoy the craft and have enough experience from the world of advertising to be dangerous. BlackSheep is a way for me to share my creativity and photos with the rest of the world, so I’m happy to do that. It would be a shame to hoard them on my computer and not let the rest of the world enjoy the scenery!

I’m happy to attempt any photos requested, however my strengths seem to be in outdoor scenes, buildings and architecture. You’ll see a few animals and even a couple people shots – even a BlackSheep gets lucky now and then!

I hope these photos make you smile – maybe even make you say “Wow”. If I can do that, then maybe some day I can graduate from being the BlackSheep - but then again, maybe I don’t want to…

Thanks for visiting the site – stop back again soon!
